The FBM Initiative
The Fermentation Based Biomanufacturing initiative offers a comprehensive research-based education and training program in Fermentation Based Biomanufacturing (FBM) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
Research
The Fermentation Based Biomanufacturing initiative is founded in a research environment, which is world leading in both, synthetic biology and cell factory engineering as well as bioprocess engineering.
VISION: To promote the transition towards a circular economy and a sustainable future by educating the world’s best fermentation experts.
Facilities
The education within the FBM-initiative is carried out on state-of-the-art equipment, which is also widely used in the fermentation industry. It allows expert education in fermentation, directly applicable in most of the industrial companies working with fermentation.
